Who’s Laura?
Queer engineer with a vibrator and a dream— Laura is a sex-positive explorer dedicated to sharing the wonders (and horrors) of sex tech. With a background in robotics and orgasms, she knows what she likes and is the go-to source of advice when friends need a new drone or a new dildo. Informed by her experience as a trans woman in the adult industry, she is a staunch advocate for centering diverse bodies in discussions of sexuality and design. From gender to electro-stim wands, Laura has yet to find anything she can’t deconstruct.

Why Inside Sex Toys?
Inside Sex Toys was founded on the belief that you deserve to know what’s inside the things you put inside you. Taking the conversation beyond “body safe” materials, Inside Sex Toys looks at the electronic and mechanical design practices behind popular sex toys to evaluate their safety, durability, repairability, environmental impact, and outright cool-ness. Never content to leave “good enough” alone, we also share responsible hacking techniques to make great toys even better. Our goal is to demystify our most intimate devices, celebrate the humble beauty of functional design, and build an inclusive community of sex nerds.
Any Hard Limits?
Inside Sex Toys aims to provide fun, objective reviews of toy design and functionality. I will NEVER accept money in exchange for a review and will NEVER cede editorial control to a manufacturer or retailer. If I receive a toy at reduced cost or get compensated for travel, events fees, etc., it will be clearly noted in the corresponding post(s). I chose my name, and I fight for it every day. I will not drag it through the dirt for any amount of money.
